EU Eco-labelling is a scheme which aims to help European consumer to distinguish greener, and more environmental friendly products and services you buy. This is a voluntary scheme which helps to promote the product and the use of consumer products and services that have a reduced environmental impact. It also helps to provide better information on environmental quality of product and services. Criteria are established for individual product groups, such as paper products, textiles, detergents, paints and appliances such as refrigerators or dishwashers. Currently, there are twenty-six product groups covering twelve areas of manufacturing and one service activity. Click here for further details.
