The European Union is the world’s largest trading partner with a 19% share in world trade in goods, a 24% share in world trade in services and a 47% share in foreign direct investments. It is a key export destination for Thailand accounting for a steady share of 15% of the country’s total trade.

In response to fast-changing trade environments and an increasing demand for quick, reliable, and accurate information, the European Commission has set up a Business Information Centre (BIC) within its Bangkok Delegation to provide information services to both local and European business communities in Thailand.

The BIC is the main entry point of all essential trade-related enquiries on the EU Single Market. It acts as an information point to businesses that need to follow developments in the EU market in order to maintain their export competitiveness.
